With a workforce of over 2,000 employees, the Pro Sports Garment Factory in Nghi Xuan (Ha Tinh) contributes to solving the challenge of “leaving agriculture without leaving the homeland” for rural workers in the locality and surrounding areas.
The Pro Sports Garment Factory in Nghi Xuan (Xuan My Commune, Nghi Xuan) has an investment of approximately 300 billion VND, covering a 7-hectare area; it is designed with a capacity of 32 sewing lines and an estimated output of 30 million products per year. The factory’s products are fashion garments exported to the U.S. market.The factory officially began operations in March 2024 and is currently providing jobs for about 1,000 workers in Nghi Xuan District and nearby areas, with incomes ranging from 6 to 12 million VND per person per month.As a large-scale employer in the district, the Pro Sports Garment Factory in Nghi Xuan has brought job opportunities right to the villages, enabling workers to have stable employment in their hometowns, contributing to solving the challenge of “leaving agriculture without leaving the homeland.”Ms. Phạm Thị Liên (Loc Ha District), who works at the factory, said: “Previously, I worked for many years in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I returned to my hometown. Upon learning that the factory was being built and starting operations, I applied for a job. The environment here is professional and comfortable, labor benefits are fully provided, and there’s a factory shuttle service, so I feel at ease working here. More importantly, I can work close to my family, with lower living costs in my hometown compared to the South, and no need to rent a place, allowing me to save a decent amount from my income.”Born in the area where the factory is located, Ms. Lê Thị Yến Vy (Dan Truong Commune, Nghi Xuan) shared: “The factory’s operations have created a stable, industrial working environment right in my hometown. I used to work in Hanoi. When I heard about the factory, I applied for a job and was trained in sewing. I started working here in March 2024, commuting about 20 km daily and living with my family, which makes my life much more comfortable.”To ensure workers’ peace of mind, the factory consistently prioritizes fulfilling labor benefits and policies to care for employees, such as periodic health check-ups, fuel subsidies for workers, shuttle services for staff and workers living far away, and recognizing employees with innovative ideas to improve factory efficiency. In addition to posting job openings through various channels, the factory also participates in job fairs to seek workers for various roles, such as sewing workers and staff for departments. For workers without prior skills, the factory provides training after recruitment.
It is known that in 2024, the factory set a target of 8 million products and has so far completed over 70%. Currently, the factory’s staff and workers are focusing on production to strive to meet the 2024 plan.
